A waterfall, champagne, and a little live music.
Amy and Micah brought all three into their Toccoa Falls engagement session, and we were very happy to tag along.
When we talked about their photos, they told us about Micah’s love of music and his plans to perform at their wedding. Between that and their love of the outdoors, bringing his guitar to the session felt like an easy yes.
A little music by the waterfall
With Toccoa Falls roaring behind them, Amy and Micah shared champagne and spent some time together while Micah played his guitar.
We loved having something personal to photograph alongside the waterfall scenery. The guitar gave them something familiar to settle into, and listening to Micah play became part of the experience itself.
Those are the little things we love learning about before a session. What do you enjoy together? What’s already part of your life? Sometimes a detail mentioned in conversation turns into one of our favorite parts of the shoot.
For Amy and Micah, it was music.
Making your engagement photos feel like you
You don’t need to come up with a whole production for your engagement photos. But if there’s something you’d love to bring or do, tell us about it.
Maybe you play an instrument. Maybe you always bring your dog along. Maybe your favorite way to spend an afternoon is sharing a drink somewhere outside.
We can build a little space for that into your session, along with portraits and time to explore. You don’t have to spend the entire shoot wondering what to do with your hands.
Amy and Micah’s session is a lovely example of how much one personal detail can add. They chose a place they were excited about and brought something that mattered to them. We got to photograph both.
Planning an engagement session at Toccoa Falls
If you love waterfall scenery, Toccoa Falls is a location to consider for your engagement photos.
Before choosing a date, confirm current visitor hours, admission, and photography requirements directly with Toccoa Falls. We’ll also talk through footwear, your comfort around the water, and what you’d like to do during the session.
And if you have an idea that feels a little different, we want to hear it. A guitar by a waterfall was a pretty good one.
Let’s plan your engagement photos
We’re Jessica + Cory, husband-and-wife photographers serving North Georgia and beyond.
We’d love to hear about the two of you and help plan a session you’ll enjoy being part of. Bring your ideas, your questions, and whatever makes sense for you.
