A Colorful Spring Wedding Under the Cherry Blossoms | Four Oaks Manor

There are some wedding days where the venue is already doing a whole lot of the decorating for you. πŸ˜‚

This spring wedding at Four Oaks Manor in Buford, Georgia was definitely one of those days. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, the gardens were green and colorful, and this couple leaned all the way into the garden party vibe with bright florals and a seriously fun color palette.

It was one of those days that just felt happy. Lots of color, lots of flowers, lots of people who clearly really love these two, and plenty of little moments in between that we were very happy to be there for.

And those cherry blossoms? We were obviously going to make the most of those.

A Garden Party Under the Cherry Blossoms

The cherry blossoms at Four Oaks Manor were absolutely showing off for this wedding.

With the trees in full bloom, the ceremony and portrait areas were surrounded by the prettiest pops of pink. Add in all the colorful flowers the couple chose, and the whole day felt like a giant spring garden party.

We loved that they didn't try to make everything super neutral. The flowers, bridesmaid dresses, and reception details all brought in plenty of color, and it fit them so well.

Honestly, this is one of our favorite things about photographing weddings. Your wedding doesn't have to look like everyone else's. If you love color, use color. If you want your reception to feel like a garden party, make it a garden party.

And if your venue happens to have giant cherry blossom trees in bloom? Take approximately one million photos under them. Obviously.

Why We Love Four Oaks Manor for Spring Weddings

Four Oaks Manor is just north of Atlanta in Buford, making it a convenient option for couples looking for a North Georgia wedding venue without heading too far out of the city.

The property has gardens, outdoor ceremony spaces, and plenty of spots for portraits, so you can get a lot of variety without spending your whole wedding day driving around.

And during spring? The blooms are pretty dang hard to beat.

For a garden-inspired wedding, some of the things we love about Four Oaks Manor are:

  • The gardens and outdoor spaces

  • The cherry blossom trees in spring

  • Multiple options for ceremony and portraits

  • Indoor and outdoor spaces for celebrating

  • Being close to Atlanta while still feeling tucked away

  • Lots of different spots for photos throughout the property

It's a venue that works really well for couples who want their wedding to feel colorful, relaxed, and full of personality.

Don't Be Afraid of Color

We are always here for a wedding that isn't afraid of a little color. 🌸

This couple went for bright, cheerful florals instead of sticking with an all-neutral palette, and we loved how everything worked with the gardens around them.

Color doesn't have to mean that your wedding feels less elegant. It can actually be one of the things that makes the whole day feel more you.

A few ways to bring more color into your own spring wedding:

  • Choose colorful bridesmaid dresses

  • Let your florist use a mix of seasonal blooms

  • Add color to your reception tables

  • Use your bouquet as a chance to have a little fun

  • Pull colors from the season and the landscape around your venue

And don't worry too much about whether everything matches perfectly. Some of the prettiest wedding days have a little variety.

Spring Wedding Photos in North Georgia

Spring might be one of our favorite times of year to photograph weddings in North Georgia.

Everything is green again, flowers are blooming, and the whole landscape feels alive after winter. Plus, when you get a day with beautiful natural light and a venue covered in flowers, we're obviously going to be pretty happy about it.

For this wedding, we got to photograph all the things we love about spring weddings β€” the colorful details, the gardens, the cherry blossoms, the happy tears, the hugs, and all the little in-between moments that happen when everyone you love is together.

And while the venue was very pretty, our favorite photos weren't necessarily the ones with the biggest view.

They're the moments where these two were just being together. Laughing, taking everything in, hanging out with their people, and enjoying the fact that they were finally married.

That's the stuff we want you to remember.

Planning a Spring Wedding at Four Oaks Manor?

If you're planning a spring wedding at Four Oaks Manor, we'd definitely pay attention to the timing of the blooms when you're choosing your date.

You can also make the most of the property by building some time into your timeline for portraits around the gardens and taking advantage of the outdoor spaces throughout the day.

A few things we'd keep in mind:

Plan around the blooms.
If the cherry blossoms are high on your list, talk with the venue about typical bloom timing when you're looking at spring dates.

Leave room for portraits.
You don't need hours and hours, but giving yourselves some breathing room means we can wander around and make the most of all those pretty spots.

Don't be afraid to use color.
The gardens already give you a beautiful backdrop, so colorful florals and details can really shine here.

Take a minute to actually enjoy it.
Seriously. Your wedding day is going to fly by. Go hang out with your people. Eat something. Dance. Sneak away with your person for five minutes. We'll be there when you get back. πŸ˜‰
